So You Want To Build Lean Muscle
67If you, like so many others, are trying to build lean muscle, you have finally come to the right place. It isn't the easiest journey trying to put on a nice healthy mass, but when you finally accomplish your goals, there is no better feeling. Well, other than the feeling of knowing that you are going to maintain the weight that you have worked so hard to put on, instead of what has happened in the past. You put it on, quit working out, and it comes right back off.
There is no hard set rules on how you can build lean muscle
fast, or lose weight quickly, but just know, that you have to go into this with the proper
mindset. That means, that getting to the size you want to get to, will
take a marathon run, not a sprint. You will not get it overnight, you
won't even get it next month, or 6 months from now. That is the point
though, as long as you are gradually putting on muscle, it is going to
be lean, and controlled, allowing you to grow into the lifestyle
required to maintain it. This is why I tell people that it is almost
impossible to build lean muscle fast, legally.
The Real How To Build Lean Muscle
If you are looking to build lean muscle, you have to concentrate on a few things, and let all the other BS that you have read, or heard go. Your mind is probably clustered with useless drivel, that is going to harm your progress more than help you. When you can finally let go of all the analyzing, and just do it, you are going to learn a lot more than any other way. Programs do tend to work, as long as you give it a fighting chance.
Having the proper mindset goes a long way to building lean muscle, but exercising with proper form, concentration, and focus, along with getting your proper rest, is essential if you want to build lean muscle. Focus on each and every rep of your workout, and lighten the weights up some. Contrary to what you believe, you don't have to lift your heaviest record setting reps for 2-3 times each workout. Yeah, that is fine if you want to do it one week a month, but for the rest of the time, drop the weight until you can comfortably focus on your reps, while still squeezing out 3 sets of 15 repetitions.
How To Build Lean Muscle Mass
This is another story however. I have told you how you can build lean muscle, but what about building a lot of it? Building lean muscle mass takes a very long time, but it is weight that will stick to your ribs for a lifetime. When you see older guys in their 40's and 50's that are still ripped, weighing in at 200 lbs, you know that this is classic built, lean muscle mass. These guys worked for this weight, over a very long time, and it sticks. This is the type of muscle I just got done explaining to you. Remember that your workouts, sleep, and mindset are essential keys to being successful in your goals, but you may also need a few supplements to pick up where your body is lacking.
Supplements To Build Lean Muscle
There are a few staple supplements to build lean muscle that I include in every one of my diet plans that I give to clients. A multivitamin is a guarantee. If you aren't taking a well researched (make sure the manufacturer isn't just throwing junk together.) vitamin, you are severely choking any forward progress you could be making. If your body is starving for vitamins and minerals, it is not working on what it should be -- repairing your muscles.
Along with the vitamin, whey protein within 30 minutes of your workout, and casein protein 30 minutes before you go to bed are excellent supplements to build lean muscle. Your body repairs itself the most while you are sleeping, so giving it the vitamins and minerals that it needs are key during this time period. Make sure you are getting at least 6-7 hours of quality deep sleep per night, along with one gallon of water per day minimum. This, along with your supplements to build lean muscle, you will be on your way to achieving your goals -- in time!

Wow! drinking one gallon of water per day seems like an awful lot. I guess if you are working out intensely you can drink that much though.

Thanks for this informative hub...I know exactly who I am going to send this to!!
Gaining muscle mass and no fat is one of the hardest things to do - that is why a lot of people do "bulking" and "trimming" phases. I would highly recommend that approach.
